So, I found a job, like finally. best part is, that it is just 15minutes drive away. 25, including jam, what more can I ask for

within just a few months, I learnt so many many things! both at work AND outside work.

I also turned 24, sadly to have to admit that.

together with Kat.

I travelled with the bunch of mad fun people.

we ate our hearts, kidney, liver, stomach out in Melaka.

I saw things I cannot unsee.

not exactly what you had in mind, but you girls know what I mean

I heard things I cannot unhear.

I learnt that people that truly cares, sticks to you no matter what silly things you do or say.

like epoxy glue. heavy duty.

We partied like theres no tomorrow…

and most importantly,

I grew up.

My daily activities now includes boring mundane stuff.

I start off my day with approx 15minutes on harvesting, planting and watering crops in Country Story.

Then, I wash up and head down for bfast/brunch/lunch, depending on what time I get up.

After that, I proceed to watching movie/anime or read, depending on weather condition.

By night falls, depending on impromptu plans, I proceed with the plan, else, back to step 2.

wtf, such is my life as an unemployed.

Cant say I hate it :D

So yesterday, my family and sernliang went for dinner in Logenhouse over in Taipan. I must say, it IS a nice place to go for dinner. Altho i must say, the service isn't exactly great. We waited almost 30-40 minutes for our dinner to be served. The worse part is, they do not come all together! They were serve plate by plate with an interval of about 10-15minutes! So you can imagine how annoyed we were.

Besides that, zzzomg, i think the chef quite cannot make it =.=" They got our steak order all wrong! my brother and I ordered a medium and sernliang ordered a medium well. They all came one as medium well AND well done. so, sernliang was biting on chewing gum quality beef last night. quite kesian. hahah..

yes, the services.

I got a waitress over and asked how was my steak done (i cut the piece into half, revealing the middle part). She loudly and proudly say 'Medium Well.' I looked at her and said 'well, i ordered a medium'. She just looks at me, giving me the 'so' look, instead of offering to take it back and change. Refusing to wait another 40 minutes for my dinner, i just ate the steak anyways. Other than that, the waiters and waitress there are VERY VERY eager to clean your table. The moment you have your cutleries down to take a rest, they will come and ask if they can take the plate away. regardless if there was any food left on the plate! In other words, you cannot stop eating! unless of coz, you wouldn't mind being pestered by these servers asking to take your plate away.

Well, apart from the slow service they offer, they DO however, have ONE fast service. That is when you asked for the bill. They come right away.

So, I was starting up the car, warming the engine up while mum was reversing out of the house with the other car.

She then stopped the car and started honking. Dad and I wondered what happen, if she needed something and was too lazy to get down the car to take. I approached nearer to her, only to notice that a CRV was parked outside our house, with no one inside. Mum proceeded with more honking, and yes, i jumped and my heart skipped a beat.
I walked out to the CRV and stood there, trying to get the owner's attention and at the same time, very much tempted to leave a note saying 'please do not block our gate' with the keys in my hands.

more honking, and after 5 minutes, a lady then ran out from the house opposite mine. she apologized out loud 'soli soli' giggled and drove her car 2 houses away from mine, allowing us to move our cars out.

She parked her car 2 houses away from mine, blocking another neighbor's gate. So my question is, why cant she just park outside the gate of the person that she is visiting? There was no car parked in front of the house..

I guess some people are just not that bright.

okay, maybe not...

I was at Parkson@Pyramid earlier today with my brother. We were walking around browsing shoes and bags and perfumes. The sales clerks are either TOO persistent or just plain statue-fied!

What's worse, there I was with my brother, looking at the CK bags in the bags department. Just as I was about to pick up one that caught my attention to see how it looks on me, the whole chain of bags fall over, on the table and on the floor. The sales clerks were just standing there, looking at me as tho i'm some kinda idiot and NO ONE CAME to put the bags back into order.

STUPID!

WHY THE HELL would they want to CHAIN ALL THE BAGS together AND HIDE THE DAMN CHAINS! If that's the idea of 'curbing' the theft problem, PUT THE DAMN BAGS INTO GLASS CABINETS LA!

What's worse, the sales clerks just stands around, doing nothing. No one came about offering to unlock the chains to let us have a good look at the bags (without pulling an entire chain of bags from the table).

We walked around the corner to the DKNY and Guess section. Again they are all chained TOGETHER. My brother and I just walked out.

Dont they know that by doing this, they are chasing away potential customers? Or are they intending to humiliate the customers further by staring at them like idiots when they take a bag from the table, causing other bags to fall over because of ONE chain.

sigh..

ON ANOTHER NOTE..

Some sales clerk are JUST. SO. PERSISTENT!

This happens in MOST the boutiques in EVERY SINGLE SHOPPING MALLS!

The moment you enter a store, you will be greeted with a so-called warm welcome. Sometimes too warm that it will just give you goosebump, and naturally, you'll walk out of the store.

Upon entering, you will also be tailed by one sales clerk who follows 1 feet (or less) behind you! They stop when you stop. They take ONE step, when you take one. Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds this annoying! I understand if the sales clerk are trying to keep an eye on us in case of any theft, but there's really no need to follow behind us like that! Stand aside, where you can give shoppers enough space to browse at their own will and enough for you to keep an eye on them. Following so closely gives us shoppers a really very extremely uncomfortable feeling!

Another one would be the sales clerk Just Would not stop talking!

Every piece of clothing you lay (not removing them from the rack) your hands on, they will start telling you an essay of the other colors that it's available in, promotions and start recomending other 'similar' or 'i-think-you'd-like-this' items!

we confronted the chicken rice stall fellas, and they insisted it was our own hair wtf. But when probed and argued a lil while longer, they said it’s pig’s hair wtf.
We all suspected was the aunty’s hair lo, coz it’s bout the same length and curly. It’s not one hair onli k, there was like many many!

After lunch, we pop by the duty free stores for some….

food here is awesome! do note, that it' is rather pricey too.

We then proceeded to send Wei Sin off to the airport.
he had to leave a day earlier, because flights departing on the same day as us were double the amount! crazy!

but he missed his flight and stayed back for this.

The next morning… packing up to go home already :(

it’s amazing how we are able to stuff the luggages into the tiny Innova car-boot.

sending Wei Sin to the bus station for him to catch the bus back home. Flight tickets were crazily priced!

when we couldn’t finish the vodka the night before.

So, studying for those damn exams has been taking up like almost ALL my time! Seriously, no fun at all. bleah!

On top of that, the brighter side to end the sucky day after sitting for a real sucky paper aka TRC 4801 - Digital Communications, is Pasta Zanmai with the girls. Unlimited refills of green tea for only RM3! Super worth it, especially after a good satisfying dinner. Most the time we find difficulty walking after that, thus, explains the damn worth it green tea :D

We should make a point to try out the desserts there next time WITH Kat.

It's too bad Kat couldnt join us for dinner as she had revision class till 10.

In desperate need to fix those damn eyebags, we head over to Subang Parade to buy the Biotherm eye gel thingy. It works! Joy is the living proof :D

And of coz, how can we end the night without meeting up with Kat :)

I really think warehouse sales brings the worse out of some particular people! Im not gonna say what particularly these people are, but you get my point!

Was at the fragrace warehouse sales yesterday. Wasnt planning to go, but since it was held at 3k Sports Center and it's crazily near my place, so mum and I thought we might as well drop by. What can you say, shopping + women = happiness.

We reached at about 10.30am, and ALREADY there is a slight queue outside the hall. The door lady was telling us that it's really pack inside and it's really stuffy, so she kept us outside to prevent anyone from fainting in there. 3 built corporate men (note: MEN), queueing right behind us started complaining. As she was saying that it's really hot in there, they sarcastically replied 'like it isnt hot in here? it's air conditioned in there!'. There i was thinking wtf, she just said it's hot and stuffy and she didnt want any1 to faint in there due to lack of air...

Not long after, we are allowed in. As the 3 built corporate men were right behind us, I could clearly hear their conversation. Then again, tehy were talking so loudly as if they wanted everyone to hear their conversation. The moment they step into the hall, one of them claim 'F***, this is crazy! it's so stuffy in here!'.. Didnt the door lady explained that earlier?

So, that aside, the sale was crazy! We felt like tuna in a can in there! It's so packed that we could hardly move! Everyone was shoulder to shoulder, back to back with no allowance to move at all! We were about to leave, when my mum said to call dad and asked if he wanted anything. He then told us to just get 3-4 bottles of anything below RM100 (for his company :)). We ended up buying 15 bottles for all of us..

It was a crazy bargain right there! The Hugo Boss XXs and XYs were going for as low as RM60 (30ML)! Other brands there were Dunhill, Escada, Gucci, Lacoste, Anna Sui and Mont Blanc.

I found (a last bottle) of my beloved Escada Sentiment. It was sitting right there at the table as if it was calling out for me. I quickly grab it before any1 else could :D. Right after I grab the bottle, a lady came to me asking 'Is that the last one?', I smiled and said 'Yeah.. sorry.. :) '... Too bad, i wouldve given it to you, but i love it too much to give it away!

We queued for almost 1 hr to pay. ONE FLOWERING HOUR! Of coz, what is a warehouse sale without inconsiderate idiots to sum it up. While we were there queuing up, mum was chatting up with the lady in front of us. She was really nice and even offered to keep our spot for us while we went scouting for more! Since she was so nice, I offered her one bottle of the Lacoste Love in Pink i manage to grab. :)

When nearing the cashier counter, SUDDENLY, just really suddenly okay, the nice lady and us were seperated by this skinny rempit with a kid! wtf! My mum said 'I thought we were behind this aunty? since when this guy came about?' He ignored and continued standing there as tho it wasnt his fault at all. We told him the queue starts from the other side of the room. He ignored. The nice lady was trying to get us in front of him, but he didnt give way. wtf.. THEN, there was this pretentious bitch behind us, who was nicely chatting up with my mum and brother. BUT the moment we look away, she tried squeezing her way front! wtf seriously.. And you call yourself a corporate lady. pfft! you are a disgrace to the corporate world lo like that!

Finally, the finest idiots at the end of the day are really the people who at the cashier counter. We found out that we were lining up at the CASH counter after 1 hr of queuing! That is when the cashier lady yelled out 'THIS LANE IS CASH ONLY AH!'. The few in front of us claimed that they should put up a sign rather than having everyone queuing up for so long only to find out that they cannot pay with credit card in that lane! The cashier lady said they did put up sign. Where? In front of the cash register that is conviniently covered by the jam pack customers in the hall. So they expect very1 to have ultrasonic or x-ray vision to see through all those humans to know which is cash lane and credit lane.. They could at least put the signs higher where EVERYONE can see and there are no chances of it being blocked by any souls lo!

But apart from all that, these are our buys, no wait, these are MY buys :)

24 kids is a JOKE!

No, really.. it is!

Think about it, it is financially not advisable, unless of coz you start getting royalty fees from all the publicity and/or sponsorship, if not how on earth can you sustain!

Think about the space that you're gonna need to keep them all!

Like we discussed (and joked and schemed) the other night, at least 3 cartons of eggs for ONE breakfast. Probably might need a farm to grow crops and cows (or goats) for milk!

It's financially infeasible!

There goes the 24 Ferraris for him, and 24hundred (or more) LVs, Guccis, Chanels, Burberrys and the list goes on for her.

SO anyways, ever since him and her mention they were (note, keyword now -were-) planning on 24kids, or at least, she wanted 24 kids, SL and I burst into series of chuckles and giggles each time we see a group of 4 kids and more.

We were at Nandos for dinner earlier. We were seated between tables loaded with kids!

Seated behind SL was a family of 3 with a beautiful boy aged around 3-4. Who obediently sits and finish his dinner..

The table behind me was a company of 5-6 couples, with one baby each! I said it's probably a reunion for a group of friends, but SL insist that they're there to have their little own 'Who's baby is the cutest' pagent (secretly between couples).

They left after a whole lot of gossiping and feasting over their chickens and salad. Thank goodness for we were blessed with a very peaceful dinner as none (thankfully) no baby started the crying and tantrum throwing streak!

As they leave, SL and I chuckled.

"Thinking bout the 24kids conversation?" I asked.

"haha.. yeah. If they ever have 24 kids, we're not having reunion with them." he answered.

"Or we just invite the parents" I added..

So, please ah.. whoever planning to have more than 4 kids, I will pretend to lose contact with you! Or like we told him and her, we're all moving far far away! No way, I'm gonna help babysit 24kids. hahaha

Too little sleep lowers IQ

People in the United Kingdom are getting too little sleep, and are even running the risk of mental retardation, according to a report released Sunday.
Loughborough University's Sleep Research Centre says an increasing number of offices are staffed around the clock, pushing Britain towards a 24 hour society.
According to the report, each hour short of eight hours of sleep a night could knock one point off a person's IQ. It would be easy to lose fifteen points in a week, resulting in a person with an IQ of 100 becoming "borderline retarded."
The Sleep Centre also says a lack of sleep could lead to a decrease in reasoning skills and linguistic coherence, since sleep is the time when the brain processes information received during waking hours.
A new organization, the British Sleep Foundation, will be launched on Tuesday to raise awareness of the issue, and encourage Britons to get more sleep.

Shogun at Sunway Pyramid

More of a share of the Shogun bad experience...

My siblings and I visited Shogun in Sunway Pyramid for the first time today. We called on Monday (18May 2009) to make a reservation for 3 at 1pm for Friday (22 May 2009). However, upon reaching Shogun’s doorstep at 1pm today, we were told TODAY that our reservation was CHANGED to THURSDAY (21 May 2009)!

The doorman in charge at that time, Gibson, insisted that they called us to confirm that the reservation was changed to Thursday. The only phone call we received was at 12.45pm today, but it was missed. We promptly called back several times for the next 15 minutes but there was either no answer, or was engaged.

We explained that we did not change our reservation for Friday at 1pm. Gibson insisted that we called to change and shortly after that raised his voice saying, “IT’S NOT MY FAULT!!”. He then told us to wait and walked away. When he returned, he pretended not to see us waiting and continued with what he was previously doing.

Personally, I think that was very rude.

We approached him again and asked to speak to the manager. He let out a grunt before going inside to call the supervisor, who then looked at the reservation list again, and told us that our reservation was only for 2, meaning if he were to admit us into the restaurant, he can only admit 2. We told him that it was impossible because we clearly made reservations for 3, and told him to check our reservation number which was W14. The supervisor checked the list again and pointed to a column on the list which stated 2pax. Dissatisfied, we cross-referenced that column with the name and phone number recorded and found that it was a reservation under the same name, but different contact number. Even though they had clearly made a mistake, both the supervisor and Gibson did not apologize and asked for our reservation number again. After checking the list again, the right record for our reservation but then said that we did not show up at 12.30 pm, so they gave our table away. But we clearly made a reservation for 3 at 1 pm. Why was it written as 12.30 pm? We insisted that the supervisor check with the person who was in charge of taking reservations on Monday, but they refused and said that it was a miscommunication. Gibson then proceeded to tell us that we would have to wait for our table.

That defeats the whole purpose of making reservation, doesn’t it?

We were only seated after half an hour and we did not even get a word of apology from them at all! It was obviously an internal management error, so shouldn’t they at least apologize?

Before we left, we approached Gibson (we didn’t know his name then) to ask for his name and politely told him that he was very rude to us. He refused to give us his name, and instead he raised his voice again saying, “You all started it first!”. Pardon me, but the last time I checked, restaurant staff are supposed to be well mannered and polite, not this rude! He insisted on not giving us his name, and then turned around to ignore us. We proceeded to ask the other cashier behind the counter, but she too refused to give us his name.

Evidently, the management of Shogun Pyramid does not highly prioritize customers’ satisfaction based on this particular episode. Initially, a simple apology would suffice. However, given that the fact that my siblings and myself were at the receiving end of a ruder treatment, I made a point to personally lodge a direct complain against the staff in Shogun Pyramid.

My friends and I are frequent customers to various Japanese buffets. This is the first time we decided to give Shogun a try, and after such treatment, it just left us with a bitter aftertaste, and full of disappointment. We would definitely not give Shogun a visit anymore, and we would also spread the word around about the horrible customers service that we were given.

Movie was definitely thumbs up and waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy(and it goes on) better than Da Vinci Code! Not forgetting the fact that Ewan McGregor stars in this movie :D tho at some parts he did sounded like how he did in Moulin Rouge, but that's wat we like bout him , dont we? ;)

Tonight :)

We use to see each other EVERYDAY back in highschool.

Then, we meet up few times a week when we are in college.

For 2 years, we meet up once in few months because we were scattered all over the world.

That's why now, Wednesdays are days that I so look forward to!

Cant wait to see you girls tonight! Same time, Same place :)

The dessert that lasted all night.

This was taken when we just got there. Mum was so anxious to have this picture taken for fear that it will probably not survive half the night.

however, due to her overwhelming beauty, it stood tall, still having her gorgeous dress intact without any cut on it!

and this picture was taken towards the end of the night.

My aunt realised that if no cuts were to be done on the dress, it will remain that way. And so, she cuts them up, and in less than an hr, it's all gone.

Never have I seen dessert that can last so long in an event...

Weird call & Annoying call

Just the other day, my dad got a really weird call from a total random stranger!

*phone rings*

*Dad answers*

Dad : Hello.

Caller: *crying kid* Papaaaa.... wo kei ren cua le! *sob* *sniffles* *whatever shit he was doing la!*

(translation: dad, i got kidnapped)

Dad: *thinks wth* WhAT?!!

*presses HANG UP button*

So anyways, my dad got the call when my brother was conviniently at camp. OH! the 'Kid' was speaking in Mandarin.

Aih, methods people resolve to now to get money.

and apparently my dad wasn't the only one who got a call like that! There was few other cases and one of them goes as below:

a father: hello...

caller: (some similar sentence i cant remember, but anyways here's one just to get the flow going) Papa, i got kidnapped!

a father: what? what's my son's name?

caller: *hangs up*

So yeah, moral of the story is, to parents out there, if ever you get calls like this;

check where your kid really is before paying the ransom
ask them for traits only you know
take the number down and report police la

Next up. When you dialed a wrong number, apologize to the other side and then hang up.

Isn't that what we were taught as a kid? apologize when you've done something wrong. So, just this morning, I got a phone call.

me: (half asleep, mind you) Hello?

caller: allo! *silence*

me: yeah? wh---

caller: (cutting me off halfway) SAPE NI?!

(translation: Who this? *literally*)

me: huh?
caller: SAPE NI???
me: ah? (I was sleepy, and was really too tired to say anything )

And he hung up just like that! the least he could do was APPOLOGIZE for getting the wrong number, RITE!

Oh, he called at bout 10am and i was out clubbing the night before. So yeah, you get the jiff..
